MCR 3D / FOR INDEPENDENT CLOTHING BRANDS

Your garment.
From more
than one angle.

I’m Matthew, the person behind MCR 3D in Manchester. I turn photographs of real garments into interactive 3D captures that people can turn, zoom and explore.

One real garment. A working 3D capture.

HELLO, I’M MATTHEW

Making 3D useful
for smaller brands.

I’m building MCR 3D around a simple idea: you shouldn’t need your own capture rig or specialist software to show your garments in 3D.

I handle the photography, reconstruction and digital finishing. You bring the garment and the knowledge of what makes it yours.

The green vest below shows where the process is today, including the details still being refined. It’s a practical example you can explore before we talk about your own pieces.

HOW IT BECOMES 3D

It starts with the garment.

Original green vest photographed on a white mannequin
01 / PHOTOGRAPH

Record the real item.

Overlapping photographs capture the knit, stripes and folds from different angles.

Untextured reconstruction of the vest with support material still present
02 / RECONSTRUCT

Build the surface.

The photographs are used to reconstruct its shape. This working stage still includes the mannequin.

Green photographic colour and white stripes applied to the reconstructed vest
03 / REFINE

Bring back the detail.

Photographic colour is applied, then support material is removed and the capture is checked against the original images.

The interactive preview loads when you reach it.

Current working preview. Fine opening edges remain under review. The hidden green interior is inferred.

AR places the captured object in your space on compatible devices. It is not virtual try-on; fit and measured scale have not been physically verified.

YOUR PART IS SIMPLE
