CAPTURE STUDY / 001

Ten years old.
A new way
to see it.

An actual, well-worn The North Face jacket. Its folds, fabric and character, reconstructed from photographs of the real thing.

An independent MCR 3D capture study. No brand affiliation or endorsement.

Yellow and navy points reconstruct the photographed jacket’s shape

01 / PHOTOGRAPHS INTO FORM

The shape
comes from the item.

Overlapping photographs connect real details across different views. The first reconstruction begins to describe the garment in three dimensions.

The jacket’s reconstructed surface shown in pale blue viewport shading, with unfinished mannequin geometry below the hem

02 / THE SURFACE

Folds. Panels.
Photographed detail.

The surface develops from the photographic reconstruction. We then inspect and prepare it for the finished asset.

Blue is a workspace display colour. This raw stage still includes the support mannequin.

03 / PHOTOGRAPHIC COLOUR

The colour
comes from the photographs.

The yellow and navy fabric, wear and surface detail belong to the photographed jacket. The rotating capture at the top of this page shows that photographic colour on its reconstructed surface.

Captured from
what is actually there.

No product generated from a prompt. A physical item, consistent photography and careful digital finishing.
